We are aiming to become the website for digital nomads, where travellers can easily find what they are looking for and share their own recommendations.

Yes, using Nomadwise is free and there is no membership required. Our goal is to provide free information to the digital nomad community.

Most entries are added by us, others are submitted by digital nomads around the world. We try to be as consistent as possible when capturing wifi speeds by using the website speedtest.net on our desktop devices. We encourage contributors to do the same and review every submission made.

Wifi speeds may vary depending on the time of the day and how busy a space is. If we have multiple data points, we calculate the speed using a Bayesian average.

There is no defined set of criteria a place must fulfil in order to be listed. Everyone has a different style of working and different preferences, therefore we encourage variety.

Since the majority of us are working online though, the places listed should come with Wifi access and the use of laptops should be allowed by the cafe or restaurant owners.

We are Leonie and Jonny, two digital nomads ourselves and the team behind Nomadwise. While travelling between Europe and Asia, we have experienced the struggle of finding great places to work, especially when arriving in new locations.

We started Nomadwise to share the knowledge and spots we discovered on our journey. It is our way of making life a bit easier for other digital nomads and travelers who want to combine exploring and working.
